Trip Overview
The Ganesh Himal Trek covers the route to the west to
reach Langtang National Park, but your journey is nothing short of a trip to
the Langtang area of Nepal. This is
the essence of the terrestrial mountains, the Roman forests, the diverse
landmarks and the Tamang culture, which make the Ganesh Himal Trek
worthwhile. As you walk along your
trail, you will experience varied vegetation in just one day, ranging from
sub-tropical vegetation to alpine vegetation.
A Tamang person's living will help you gain insight into the individual,
their unique culture and traditions. The
Ganesh Himal Trek is the true joy of walking on paradise on short passenger
paths between beautiful mountains and jungles in the background of beautiful
Himalayan Mountains.
The name Ganesh comes from a Hindu deity - Lord Ganesh whose
head is like a wild elephant. GaneshHimal Trek is very similar to elephant so Ganesh is popular as
mountain. Ganesh Himal Trek is a fun
trek that allows you to experience the beauty of living villages, beautiful
mountains, glaciers and spectacular landscapes.
The beauty around Ganesh Himal is a fond memory that you have seen. During travel, the vegetation varies from
sub-tropical to alpine, so the hike is home to a diversity of flora and fauna.
Due to its diverse flora and fauna, there are 526 species of plants and 300
species of birds and animals in the Ganesh Himal region including the
Himalayan Thar, Gaur, Kasturi, Musk Deers, Monkey and many other birds. There are about 40 different species of
orchids in the Ganesh Himal. The
company of rhododendron trees, rhythms and waterfalls along your route make
your journey a living.
So, get ready to taste this journey starting after a
sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. We drive
to Betravati from where we start our journey.
We pass through jungles, villages, lakes and waterfalls to embrace
beauty like Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung, Buddha Himal, Hiuchuli Dorje
Lakpa and other mountains of western and central Nepal. Cross the Singa-Laa Pass and enjoy the beauty
of the black and white lake. Be captivated
when you see the stunning waterfalls - Ganges and Jamuna!

Day 01: Drive to Arughat 600m – 06 hrs journey.
Day 02: Trek to Manbu 1,300 m – 06 hrs.
Day 03: Trek to Lamo Dhunga 2,200 m – 06 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Nauban Kharka 2,750 m – 06 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Khading 2, 570 m – 05 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Timila school 1,760 m ahead Tirigaon – 06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Chalisa 1920 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Marmelung Kharka 3,200 m – 06 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Pangsang La 3,850 meters – 04 hrs.
Day 10: Rest day for short hike and exploration.
Day 11: Trek to Gatlang 2,200 meters via Somdang – 06 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Chilme 1,650 m – 06 hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Syabrubesi- 06 hrs.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.
Day 15: International departure for homeward bound.

MANUAL NOTE
Dhading-Gorkha around Ganesh Himal and Rasuwa district of Langtang region were badly affected by huge earthquakes of 25th April and 12th May 2015, at present life is slowly returning back to normal.
Trekking around Ganesh Himal and Langtang area will be a great cause and support in bringing back the economy to these wonderful villages where you can find great warm hospitality of Tamang hill tribe interwoven with interesting ancient Bonn and Buddhist culture.
